Anne Thomas

We mourn the loss and celebrate the life of Antoinette "Anne" Thomas born on April 17, 1926 in Yonkers, New York to Michael Paradiso and Domenica Di Biasio. Anne passed away peacefully on December 27, at the age of 99.
Anne grew up in the Park Hill section of Yonkers, New York, where she met and married her husband, Manuel "Manny" Thomas on July 30 1944. Together they moved to Scarsdale, New York where they raised their family and Manny worked as a residential home builder and developed properties including Thomas Lane, Sharon Lane, and Kathy Lane, while Anne was a homemaker. In later years, Anne worked for the U.S. Postal Service in White Plains, New York.
In 2011, Anne and her sister, Mary Grace, moved to an accessory apartment at the home of Anne's daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and John Molloy, in Mahopac. Anne and her sister were well known around the community, frequenting Yorktown Assembly of God Church, Four Brothers Restaurant, M&T Bank, Cardsmart, and the Europa Hair Salon. People marveled at the fact that these two ladies in their 90's were in perfect health taking nothing more than daily vitamins. Anne attributed her longevity to her devotion to her family and abiding faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Anne is lovingly remembered by her sister, Mary Grace Paradiso, and her three daughters and two son-in-laws, Sharon Dietrich, Kathleen (Richard) Vitolo, and Michelle (John) Molloy. She is the proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 7:00pm on Friday, January 2, 2025 at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 418 Route 6 (GPS US-6), Mahopac, NY 10541.
A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate Anne's life will take place 10:00 am, Saturday, January 3, 2025 at Assemby of God, 253 Mahopac Ave, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
Following Mass, Anne will be escorted to her final resting place in Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel, NY 10512.
