Anne Wilson Tria
Anne Wilson Tria, 101, of Gastonia, NC, formerly of Kings Mountain, claimed her heavenly reward on September 27, 2025 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, departing this plane after a beautifully lived life. Born August 27, 1924 in Cleveland County, NC she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. Wilson, Sr. and Tula Harmon Wilson and was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years John J. Tria, Sr., brothers Gene and Thomas "Tom" Wilson, and sisters Helen W. Clarke and Rebecca "Becky" W. Dixon. Anne was a wonderful mother who was always there when she was needed the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of her extended family, community, and church, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Anne is survived by her son John J. Tria, Jr. (Barbara), daughters Diane T. Ellis (Scott) and Elaine T. Hill (Scott), grandsons Brian Thornburg (Crystal) and Ross Ellis (Maria), great-grandchildren Brody Thornburg, Bailey Thornburg, Easton Ellis, and Brooks Ellis, and by her special brother-in-law Howard Dixon, Sr. She is additionally survived by a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends who were blessed to experience her warmth and generosity.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church of Belmont, NC with Rev. George Ragsdale officiating
VISITATION: The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church
INTERMENT: A private interment ceremony will be conducted at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby, North Carolina
