Bonnie Tria Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Acly-Stover Funeral Home - Corning on Dec. 16, 2025.
Bonnie Ann (Galvin) Tria, age 74, passed away on December 13, 2025 at her home in Corning. She was the beloved wife of Michael Tria who passed before her in 2023.

Bonnie was born in Rockville Centre, New York on the South Shore of Long Island, where she was raised and lived until retirement. For thirty years she headed the compensation department of Long Island Bus, a public transportation company. At retirement, she and Michael relocated to their dream home, a log cabin nestled in the hills of Caton, New York.

She is survived by many friends, co-workers, and aides who loved her dearly, as well as her furry children, Felix, Ethel, Lucy, and Concrete. Bonnie was known for her great kindness, keen wit and love of animals. Bonnie dedicated much of her life to helping animals in need, including giving many a home during her lifetime.

She was a devoted gardener and took pleasure keeping the areas around their home lush and colorful. She'd also tackle major projects inside the home, such as sanding down the interior walls of their Caton log cabin home. Many a friend referred to her as an energizer bunny, always on the move to her next project or volunteer effort, such as Meals on Wheels, aiding others or gathering a group of ladies for socializing. She was a tireless friend people could depend on. She is greatly missed.

There will be no service at this time. Memorial contributions in Bonnie's name may be made to a Parkinson's research organization or to the animal rescue charity of your choice.
