With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Annette Gautier, 64, who left us much too soon on December 30, 2024. Born in Jersey City, she was raised in Toms River before settling in Manchester 12 years ago.
Annette graduated from Trenton State College in 1983 and soon after began her career with the Administrative Office of the Courts. She held various roles within the court system, eventually earning a promotion to U.S. Supervisory Pretrial Services Officer, a position she served with distinction until her retirement in June 2016. Annette's free time was happily spent cooking, baking, and participating in activities like book club, bowling, and bocce. Most importantly, she cherished the company of her beloved family and friends.
Annette was not only an incredibly caring individual, but she was also known for her sharp intelligence and witty sense of humor. No matter the circumstances, she had a special way of bringing light and laughter to any situation. Annette will forever be remembered with love by her brother, Michael, and his wife, Debbie; her brother-in-law, Chester; her sister-in-law, Diane, and many close cousins. To her 11 nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and nephews, and 3 great-great nieces, Annette was more than just an aunt-she was a "second Mom," offering unlimited support, joy, and unconditional love. Known for her laughter and infectious smile, Annette made sure she never missed a gathering, party, or event. Her presence always filled a room with warmth, and her ability to make every moment special was unmatched. Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest J. Gautier and Madlyn Newlin; her brother, Ernest W.; and her sister, Lorraine.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ. All are welcome to gather again at the funeral home on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas RC Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville, NJ. Annette's legacy will live on in the countless memories she created with those lucky enough to know her. While she leaves behind a hole in our hearts, she also leaves a lifetime of laughter, love, and cherished moments that taught us the true meaning of kindness and family.
