A beautiful soul has returned home. Ms. Annie Bell Musgrove Buchanan, 93 of Altha and Tallahassee, slipped away Monday, August 4, 2025. Born in Altha to Roscoe and Dora Barfield Musgrove, January 16, 1932, under a tree on Musgrove Rd. Annie Bell Married Clyde Buchanan in 1950 and being Baptized the same year, by her father-in-law, Reverend Oscar Allen Buchanan, Sr.
A true Altha beauty and bus driving legend, Ms. Annie Bell retired from Altha High, having driven a school bus for 35 years. Later volunteering for the next 30 years with the Special Olympics of Florida in Gadsden County.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Dora Musgrove; siblings, CB “Buck Musgrove; a sister, Mary Louise “Missy Barfield"; nephews Bud Barfield and Bill Gay.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Pinson, Debra Downing and husband Ron, Peggy Miller, Tammy Pitts and husband Broward and Kimberly Skipper. Special Daughter, Ann Oaks; her grandchildren, Chris Phillips and wife Lindsay, Susan Ortiz and husband Marcus, John Adkins and wife Tammy, Marcia Adkins and husband D.D., Sabrina Wynn and husband Brian, Elijah Kitchen, Kayla Pitts, Easton Pitts, Laken Harris and husband Jayson, Grayson, Josephina, Isabella and Jackalina Skipper Special granddaughter, Kim Willis. Her great grandchildren, Blaine and Ariele Phillips, Corey and Kaylee, River Adkins, Dylan Rogers, Ranzlie and Koldyn Harris, Jada Kitchen, Westen Skipper, Air Force Tech Sgt. Alexa Phillips and Joefish Ortiz and a great great grandchild to be, Tater. Her nieces, Rhonda Daniels, Donna Sue Musgrove, Linda Gay and husband Tim and Melanie Tatum.
There will be a time of visitation 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home with a funeral service on Friday, August 8, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. also at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Chipola Cemetery in Altha.
