Annie Mae Burch, 91, of Gainesville, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Annie was born in Deep Lake, Florida in Collier County on December 31, 1932 to Abner and Hattie Alford. Annie was married to Elmer William Burch for 64 years.She attended Reddick High School in Reddick, Florida. She went to cosmetology school in Georgia and received her license in both Georgia and Florida.Annie worked as a cosmetologist for Myladies, Virginias, and Alachua General Hospital Beauty Salon. She enjoyed ceramics, embroidery, sewing, cooking, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when she could.Annie is survived by her sons, Lester Burch (Doshie) of Micanopy, Florida, and Danny Burch (LaVerne) of Micanopy, Florida; daughter, Terrie Manning of Gainesville, Florida; and sister, Mildred Johnson of Orange Lake, Florida; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Burch; parents, Abner and Hattie Alford; and great-grandson, Matthew Barnes; sisters, Velma Lott and Alice Burch; brothers, Robert Alford, Abner Alford, and Wiley Alford.A graveside funeral service has been scheduled for Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Millwood Cemetery, Reddick, Florida. A visitation will be held 30 minutes before the funeral service.
