Annie Jones Obituary
Annie Jo Jones, 86 of Sylva passed away on Sunday April 27, 2025. She was born on June 27, 1938 to the late Howard and Maybelle Elders Gibson.
Annie loved the Lord and enjoyed spending time reading her Bible. Her favorite pass times were spent working with her flowers and enjoying the beauty that they brought, and Spending time with her cherished family whom she loved very much.
Annie is survived by two sons; Steve Jones (Betty Jo) and Mark Jones (Tina); three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Mathis (Larry). Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Annie is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Chic Jones; and a son, Bryan Pearson Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 2, 2025 in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Randy Miller and Rev. Scott Kapple officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
