Annie M. King

Annie was born on January 1st, 1935, to Elvina and Albert Simon Sr. in Sheldon, Texas. She was one of twelve children.

The family moved to Houston and Annie graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in the class of 1954. Soon after Annie moved to California where she would continue her educational endeavors at LACC. After graduation she accepted a position with Bank of America and her strong work ethic led to a 40-year tenure there.

After retiring Annie would return to Texas to have a consistent presence with her family and friends. She loved to cook and would always share recipes for her signature dishes. On many occasions Annie would offer a helping hand to anyone in need.

Annie was preceded in death by her loved ones Elvina & Albert Simon (Parents), Doyle, Charlie, Leroy, Albert Jr., Richard, Willie (Brothers) and Barbara Jean Simon Cosey (Sister).

She leaves to cherish her memories, she leaves her beloved daughter Vetitia Brown (Mitchell) of Crosby, Texas; four sisters, Shirley Davis, Mary Pete, Catherine Barnes and Gerrideane Gibson all of Houston. Grandchildren, Kandyce, Ticara, Mitchell Jr., Aaron, and Cornelius. A host of great grandchildren, and loving relatives and friends.
