Annie Oliver, 79, of Kings Mountain passed away on September 30, 2025, at home. She was born on August 1, 1946, to the late George Clary and Ruth Collins Clary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Brian Keith Oliver, brothers, WT Clary, and Fred Clary; sisters, Maybelline Merck, and Juanita Ellison Bolin.
Annie was a member at First Church of the Nazarene in Kings Mountain for fifty years. She loved to read, watch westerns, and spend time doing her devotions every morning. She loved to scrapbook all of her grandchildren’s achievements over the years. She was a loving wife to David, loving mother to her kids, and wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. David has taken very good care of her since she became disabled 34 years ago. The family is extremely grateful to the nurses and CNA’s of Carolina Caring of Newton, North Carolina especially, Robin and Lara.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 61 years, David Oliver; son, David Oliver Jr. (Crystal) of Kings Mountain, daughters, Sonya Fulbright (Chip) of Ellenboro, Lisa Boyd (Greg) of Oak Island, North Carolina; brother, Charles “Rabbit” Clary (Betty) of Bessemer City; sister, Christine Broome of Bessemer City; sister-in-law, Teresa Clary; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 on Friday, October 3, 2025, at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Cameron Barefield officiating.
Annie’s funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, Building Fund, 127 Countryside Rd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
