Annie Swientek Obituary

Annie Goodloe Swientek
April 1, 1930 - February 7, 2024
Annie Goodloe Swientek of San Antonio, Texas beloved wife, Mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2024, at the age of 93 after a battle of Alzheimer's. Annie had been residing at Season's Memory Care and passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Annie was born April 1, 1930, in Celle Germany. She was of German descent. Annie married Noel Goodloe in Germany where they met. He brought her to the United States where she received her citizenship in August 1955. They were married for 29 years. After their divorce, she remarried to Alois Swientek Jr. and was married for 40 years.

Her family and friends will remember her for her love of home and family. She loved dancing the German Polka's and waltzes. She was a member of the senior center. In younger years, she was a member of The German Club. We will always cherish the memorable times on Christmas Eve at her house with all her kids and grandkids. She always made the most delicious homemade German chocolate cake. Annie loved to always watch games shows and the Hallmark Channel.

She is preceded in death by her infant son Johnny Goodloe, son Fred Nordbruch, husbands, Noel Goodloe and Alois Swientek Jr., her parents, and 8 siblings. Annie is survived by her five beautiful daughters, Joann Nanney, Gina Mokry, Ivy (John) Kettinger, Barbara Goodloe, and Linda (Marc) Foster. She leaves a loving legacy to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren whom she was known as their Oma.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday, February 19th, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 SE Military Dr. San Antonio, Texas 78214.
