Anthony Robert Bair, 17, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Piedmont Regional Midtown in Columbus, GA. A memorial service will be held under the lights on Eagle Field at Marion County High School in Buena Vista, GA, at 7:30PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. The family will greet friends on the field after the service.
He was born in Dayton, OH, on May 7, 2006, to Franklin Pierce Bair, Jr. and Malinda Okrusch Bair. Anthony was not only entering his Senior year of high school, he was also taking dual enrollment classes at G.S.W. He was a member of the high school marching band and was a member of the Future Farmer’s of America. After graduation he planned to attend Middle Georgia State University to study Aviation to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot. Anthony was respectful and kind gentleman. He had the biggest heart and touched every soul in a special way. He was preceded in death by his brother, Austin Robert Bair.
He is survived by his parents, Franklin Pierce Bair, Jr. and Malinda Okrusch Bair; by a sister, Hannah Rose Bair all of Buena Vista, GA; by his paternal grandparents, Franklin Pierce Bair, Sr. and Susan Bair of New Carlisle, OH; by his maternal grandfather, Gene Okrusch; and by his maternal grandmother, Georgia Serowicz. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to make donations to the MCMHS Future Farmers of America or the Marion County Marching Eagle Band. They can be sent to Marion County High School, Attention: FFA or Eagle Band (Your Choice), 1 Eagle Drive, Buena Vista, GA, 31803. Please note in the memo line "In Memory of Anthony Bair."
