Anthony Bertucci, Jr., age 95, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 25, 2025, in Kenner, Louisiana. He was born on June 11, 1930, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Anthony and Alma Bertucci.

His humility, compassion, and unwavering belief in God's Word inspired all who knew him. Anthony faithfully shared the Gospel and lived each day as a testimony to his Savior's love.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty years, Jo Ann Bertucci; his son, Tommy Bertucci; his parents, Anthony and Alma Bertucci; and his siblings John, Paul, Billy, Patricia, Beverly, Joan, and Doris.

Anthony is survived by his devoted children, Glenda Vassilakis, Debbie Kirby (Gary), Diane Walker (Sterling), and Joseph Bertucci. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren-Katie, Natalie, Angela, Hillary, Shannon, Gary Jr., Kellie, Chad, Ashley, and Tyler-and a cherished great-grandfather to twenty-two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Gail Abraham, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Anthony began his career in carpentry, working alongside his father and brothers in New Orleans. With skill, dedication, and a strong work ethic, he went on to establish his own contracting business, Five Star Homes, lovingly named after his five children. Through his work, he earned the affectionate nickname "The General," a reflection of his leadership and commitment to excellence.

Above all, Anthony's life was defined by his deep faith. A devoted servant of Jesus Christ, he was a man of prayer whose gentle spirit touched countless lives. He never met a stranger; always greeting others with a kind word, an encouraging heart, and his signature smile. His humility, compassion, and unwavering belief in God's Word inspired all who knew him. Anthony faithfully shared the Gospel and lived each day as a testimony to his Savior's love.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Gerry Culotta for her cherished friendship with Anthony, and to the Passages team for their devoted comfort and care. A special word of thanks is given to Corey Gallaty for the many hours spent reading Scripture and praying with Anthony-your presence was a true blessing.

"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus."

- Ephesians 2:6
