Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wasik Funeral Home - Warren on Jun. 27, 2024.
Anthony Joseph Blazejewski, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the age of 95. He was born February 14, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Jacob and Frances Blazejewski. Beloved husband of Sandra. Dearest father of Theresa (John) Wigley, Mark, Julia (Darryl) McKnight, the late Bernice Barabash, the late Jeffrey Blazejewski, and the late Maria Ann Blazejewski. Loving grandpa of Jessica (Josh) Cory, Steven (Nichole) Barabash, David (Christen), and Jacob Blazejewski and great papa of Isaac, Hazel, Samuel, Allie Jo, Serena, and Cambrynn. Cherished father-in-law of Michael Barabash. Preceded in death by 12 siblings. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Anthony faithfully and honorably served his country during the Korean War as part of the 38th Division of the United States Army. He was an avid bowler and played on many leagues, including the Blazejewski Brothers Bowling Team. In his free time, Anthony loved to play harmonica, a skill he picked up while in the Army, listening to Elvis, watching M*A*S*H and the Detroit Tigers, and going fishing, especially up in Croswell and Lexington. Family was also extremely important to Anthony; for over 40 years, there was always a huge Thanksgiving feast that was attended by over 50 family members and friends. He was a dearly loved man and will be truly missed by all who had to privilege to know him.
