Robert "Red" Blazejewski, 84, of Strandquist, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 5, 2025 at Karlstad Senior Living in Karlstad, MN.
Robert Jerome was born on June 4, 1941, at home in Wright Township, Marshall County, MN, to Florian and Clara (Borowicz) Blazejewski. He attended Oakridge Country School until fourth grade before attending school in Strandquist. He graduated from Strandquist High School in 1959 where he enjoyed playing basketball. Robert lived and worked on the family farm from a young age until his passing. Over the years, he raised dairy and beef cattle, sheep, and horses. Robert loved raising cattle and growing his own crops. His true passion was going to the sales barn weekly to buy cattle.
On August 21, 1971, Robert was united in marriage to Janice Banaszewski. They raised eight children and would enjoy married life for 54 years. In addition to enjoying work on the farm, Robert liked the simple things: spending time with his wife and family, visiting neighbors and cousins, watching Minnesota's sports teams, listening to and watching his grandkids' sports. He also liked playing cards and fishing. He passed along his love of deer hunting to his children and grandchildren.
Robert was a lifelong member of Assumption Catholic Church of Florian and had a strong Catholic faith that he shared with his family. He was also a member of the Strandquist school board for a number of years.
Family, Faith, and Farming were his life.
Please remember him in your prayers.
