Anthony Boccuti Obituary

Anthony Russell Boccuti, 89, formerly of Towson, MD, died June 25 in Millville, DE, after a brief illness. Born in Baltimore to the late Oscar and Rosina (Panebianco) Boccuti, Anthony lived there for most of his life. He attended Johns Hopkins University and received his doctor of medicine from the University of Maryland. While in the Army, he reached the rank of Colonel, and was stationed at many locations around the country. Upon retirement from military service, he kept his mind sharp by developing a complex system to succeed at craps. He took the seniors bus to Atlantic City every week for many years, winning a few hundred dollars 9 times out of 10. Anthony was a loyal friend, beloved brother and devoted father who will be dearly missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Francine, of Millville, DE; his sister, Marie (Boccuti) Fields of Hunt Valley, MD; his brother, Arthur Boccuti and his wife, Linda, of Atlanta, GA; his son, David Boccuti, and his wife, Patricia, of Acton, MA; beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nephews and grand-nieces; and many fond friends. Services will be private. Those wishing to honor his memory are invited to donate to Delaware Hospice.

Anthony, may you rest in God´s Eternal Peace. It was a pleasure and an honor to call you a dear friend. Our times together were always fun and memorable. I will miss you until we reunite at that great poker table in the sky. I love you and will be supportive to Francine in your absence.
