Anthony Braca Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home - Springfield on Apr. 1, 2025.
Once in a lifetime you come across a person who immediately leaves an impression on your heart upon meeting them. A person who brings love, humor, and light to every situation. A person who can make you smile during the darkest of times, who you never doubt the loyalty of their friendship, and who no matter what they are going through in life, will always be by your side because you needed them more. Anthony Braca was that exact person. Growing up in a traditional Italian household he was taught family is everything, food is life, and to have respect for people or fear the drawer of wooden spoons. Throughout his educational journey he met his "brothers" and many more amazing people that their friendships have easily carried on until the present. He always had fond memories of his high school days of wrestling, football and baseball and the coaches that taught him many more life lessons. He pursued his love of computers and had a career in that for many years. Then eventually went "home" to Palumbo Associates in Whitehouse Station where he worked until their doors shut. Working there was his passion, and his "family" of coworkers were never able to be found at any other place of employment. Some of his happiest times were spent in "LaLa land" hunting with his favorite people and playing softball each year with the DILF's (Dad's in their late forties). His son and daughter were his life, and they were both blessed to have him as the most amazing father. There are not enough words to describe Anthony or sum up his life in one short passage. It is easy to go on and on but everyone who he came in contact with was better off for having known him. Just know that his life was filled with adventure, laughter and love. For those who loved him, each day will bring a smile as you reminisce about a cherished memory.
In addition to his father, Enrico, he is survived by his wife of 12 years Ericka Traugh and their son Antonio R. and daughter Arabella M. (Mother Alyson Braca), and his brother Joseph D. Braca all of Millburn NJ. He is also survived by his Aunts Pasqualina Fucci and family of and Liliana Donofrio and family all of Milan, Italy, and Maria Monaco and family of Yonkers, NY. He is also survived by many cousins
He will be greatly missed by his Pennsylvania family including his in-laws, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

I was devastated to hear of Anthony's passing. He was in my very first class when I was doing my student teaching at Wyoming School. I can picture him as if it were yesterday. Such a wonderful kid! My heart is breaking. Deepest sympathy to his family and his many friends.

Only knew Antonio in last few years (from "Casa" & Legion"); but his personal warmth, kindness & sense of honor, were readily apparent. So Young (from my age 80 point of view) ... so sad. His loved ones are in my prayers.
