Dear Annette and family, my heart is aching with the news that my childhood friend has passed on. We met each other in the 1950s as members of Saint Raphael´s CYO... and we remained friends through the years. During my years as an associate pastor at Saint Lawrence, I was blessed to be able to minister to Joe and his family. The past several years were very difficult for him. I guess you could say that it was his purgatory here on earth. I pray that he is now with the saints in heaven. I´m offering masses this weekend for him at my parish here in Florida.
My thoughts and prayers are also with you , Annette, and your family. Your husband and father was truly one in a million. Looking forward to the day when I´ll be seeing him again.

Joe and I attended Central High School together but it was when I joined our reunion committee that I had the pleasure to get to know Joe. Joe was a vital part of our committee and a very kind and gentle soul. My sincere condolences to Annette and their three children. May he rest in eternal peace.
