Anthony Buonocore

Anthony (Tony) Buonocore, 70, of Eastchester, NY, peacefully passed away on November 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 16, 1954, to Gregory and Felicia Buonocore, Tony grew up in Yonkers and attended Mount Saint Michael High School and Iona College. He went on to build a successful 40-year career at IBM and was co-owner of BandB's Fifth Avenue Pub in Pelham, NY, for 23 years.

Tony was a pillar of his community. He served on the Tuckahoe Board of Education for 15 years; as Trustee, Vice President, and later President. He also dedicated many years to local youth sports as Board VP of Tuckahoe Youth Association Baseball and Commissioner of Eastchester Youth Soccer, as well as serving as Pack Master of Tuckahoe Pack 7 Cubs Scouts. To many, Tony was best known as the unmistakable voice of the Tuckahoe High School Tigers, where he served as broadcast and PA announcer for more than 25 years.

To his family, Tony will always be remembered as a selfless, lighthearted, and deeply loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was the kind of man who never missed even the smallest moment in his children's lives, someone who placed family and community at the center of everything he did. His wife was his rock, his children his pride, and his grandchildren his greatest joy.

Tony is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Marie; his children Paul (Ashley) Buonocore and Christina (Anthony) Pujia; his sister Marilyn Dogas; his four beloved grandchildren, Luke, Giada, Leo, and Anthony; and his grandpup Wade.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Monday afternoon, November 17, 2025, from 3–8 p.m. at Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday November 18th at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
