Anthony Grant "Tony" Courser

Anthony "Tony" Grant Courser, age 67 of White Cloud, formerly of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away following his years long battle with cancer. Tony was born on November 28, 1956 in Geneva, Illinois to L'Roy Eugene and Mary Ann Theresa (Giunta) Courser. Tony had been a self-employed handyman for many years in Metropolis, Illinois and moved to the White Cloud area in 2020 to be closer to his daughter and her family. Tony enjoyed fishing, a little bit of golfing, White Sox baseball, Chicago Bears football, playing cards, board games and dominos and always found a way to cheat a little at all of them. Tony especially enjoyed following his grandchildren's sporting and school activities.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Rusty) Rayl of White Cloud; his grandchildren, Denver, Rainee, and Brody; his stepmother, Eloise Courser of Metropolis, Illinois; his brothers and sister, Warren (Theresa) Courser of Arkansas; David (Amandis) Rott of Illinois; Deborah (Larry) Schoell of Illinois; Jerry Courser of Florida; Terry Courser of Illinois; sister-in-law, Cheri Courser of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Mary Ann and James Rott; his father, L'Roy Courser; his brother, Larry Courser.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at the family home at a later date. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Corewell Health Gerber Memorial Oncology Department in memory of Tony.
