Anthony J. DeFlippo

Vestal, NY - With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we share that on December 19, 2025, Anthony James DeFlippo III, age 79, passed away, embraced by the Lord and reunited with loved ones who went before him.
Anthony was predeceased by his devoted parents, Anthony and Margaret DeFlippo, and his lifelong partner and beloved wife, Donna DeFlippo, as well as his cherished nephew, Michael Medionte, whose memory lives on in the hearts of all who loved him
He is survived by his loving children, Anthony J. DeFlippo IV and Tara DeFlippo (Brett). His beloved grandchildren, Ashley and Jaxson, were a constant source of joy in his life. Anthony is also survived by his sibling, James (Joyce); his brothers-in-law, Craig (Sonya) and Larry (Val); his sister-in-law, Tami (Ned); and many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Anthony is also survived by the many animal companions that brought immense love and joy to his life.
Anthony was a proud graduate of Binghamton High School and Broome Community College. He devoted 30 years of his life to the Johnson City Police Department, serving with unwavering commitment and integrity until his retirement.
For Anthony, family was his greatest treasure. His life was built on a foundation of unwavering love, devotion, and quiet strength, which he shared generously with all who knew him.
Anthony was a lifelong and devoted fan of UConn Women's Basketball, cheering faithfully and proudly as one of their most passionate supporters. What mattered most to him, however, was time spent with those he loved. He found his greatest joy in being with his family-watching his daughter play soccer through the years, sharing many meaningful dinners with his son, fishing quietly beside his brother, and spending long, heartfelt nights talking with his granddaughter. These moments were where his love was most deeply felt and will be forever treasured.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at Lourdes Hospice for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anthony's memory to the Broome County Humane Society.
Anthony, your kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be missed more than words can express. We will carry your love with us, always. "The trouble is, you think you have time."
A Funeral Service for Tony will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2025 at 11:00 am at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott.
