Anthony H. DeSantis

Anthony H. DeSantis, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on August 16, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Anthony's life was a tapestry of dedication to his family, his work, and his community.

A devoted husband to his late wife, Shirley DeSantis, Anthony's legacy of love and commitment lives on through his children. Although preceded in death by his son Stephen DeSantis (Patricia), his spirit is carried forward by his surviving children, Harry DeSantis (Tina), Carl DeSantis (Vicky), David DeSantis (Kate), Anthony DeSantis (Maria), Michael DeSantis (Megan), and Michelle Lelito. He was a cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren: Eric, Theresa, Anthony, Jason, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Angela, Matthew, Vincent, Nicholas, John, Jamie, Adam, and Liam. His joy was further multiplied by his 7 great-grandchildren, Nora, Alexis, Peyton, Colton, Tommy, Willow, and Dawson, with two great-granddaughters on the way.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Anthony's work ethic and craftsmanship were the cornerstones of his career as a second-generation Tile Setter and the proud owner of DeSantis Tile in Camden, NJ. His hands skillfully laid the foundations of countless homes and businesses, creating beauty and durability that will stand as a testament to his hard work and dedication.

One of Anthony's greatest joys was his hobby of collecting model trains. The intricate details and the historical significance of each piece reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and nostalgia. But above all, Anthony cherished the time spent with his family.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10-11AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ. A Memorial Service will follow at 11AM, at the funeral home.
