Anthony "T.J." Farrugia

Anthony "TJ" Farrugia Jr., age 39 of Bloomfield, NJ passed away on Sunday, August 17th, 2025. He was born on May 14, 1986 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Anthony and Susan Farrugia.

Anthony was known most for his love of sports, especially baseball and football. Baseball was his first love. Whether he was playing or coaching, His favorite aspect of being part of a team was helping others to be their best. As an adult, his most joyful moments were spent at Jet games with his father, where his enthusiasm would light up the whole section.

Anthony received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University. Although counseling was his primary career and passion, he was also a very skilled mason.

Anthony worked hard and gave his all in everything he did.

He was caring, smart, athletic, helpful, funny, and thoughtful, had an amazing bond with animals, especially his beloved dog, Dozer Sanchez. Recently, Anthony developed a passion and skill for art. He especially enjoyed painting sceneries including mountain views and sunsets. Anthony would often gift his beautiful paintings to his family and close friends.

Survived by his devoted parents, Anthony and Susan, his sister Sabrina, brother-in-law Matthew, and loving grandparents Vincent and Elizabeth. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew, his grandparents George and Philomena, and great-grandmother Nana Helen.

Anthonys' life was full of love. Whether he was with family or friends, he was always making others laugh and smile with his ridiculous stories and jokes.Anthony was very loved by those who knew him and will be truly missed.

Funeral services were held privately by the O'Boyle Funeral Home 309 Broad St. Bloomfield NJ.
