Anthony Frank Fetzer, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at his home in Pardeeville, Wisconsin.
Anthony (Tony) was born on January 7, 1947, to Bernadette (nee Schmitt) and Anthony J. Fetzer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He grew up in Rubicon and graduated from St. John's Catholic School in Rubicon, Wisconsin.
Farming and construction were two of Tony's passions and he was able to turn his skills in these areas into successful careers. He started Rock River Home Improvement with a partner and later owned and operated Siding Specialists. He went to Mississippi for a few years after Hurricane Katrina to help with the rebuilding. In 1982, Tony decided to start farming again on his family's farm. In his later years and up until his death, Tony was a truck driver. Tony was also a skilled handyman; all of his grandchildren (and many others also) have end tables crafted by him.
Tony proudly served in the Woodland Fire Department for many years. He was an active member of the Restored Antique Tractors Club (RAT Pack). He loved Farmall tractors and restored a Farmall 706 and his dad's Farmall M. Along with fellow RAT Pack members, he drove the Farmall M on a 500-mile fundraising trip. Tony enjoyed vacationing and took several fishing trips to Canada. He enjoyed camping and drove his camper on several long trips, including a month-long journey to Alaska. He also enjoyed collecting guns and was an avid Trump fan, always wearing his Trump hat. You could count on him having a Sundrop in his refrigerator at any time for his grandchildren. Tony ended every phone conversation with, "Say hi to everyone for me."
Tony is survived by his children Jodie (Kenneth) Neu, Paula (friend Andy Kuehl) Aufdermauer, Rick (Kim) Fetzer; siblings Jean (Bob) Walters, Mary (Chris) Odachowski, Diane (Randy) Gehring, and Chuck Fetzer; grandchildren Callie (Brandon) Schmolbach, Connor Neu, Austin Aufdermauer, Zackary (Gabriella) Aufdermauer, Ryan (fiancé Delaney Tisdale) Aufdermauer, Brandon (fiancé Andrea Berka) Fetzer, Courtney Fetzer, Trent (Ember) Fetzer; great-grandchildren Braxton and Archer Aufdermauer and Arlo Schmolbach, and many other family and close friends.
In heaven Tony joins his parents Anthony J. and Bernadette Fetzer, sister Patricia Schmidt, granddaughter Kasey Aufdermauer, and son-in-law Allan Aufdermauer. Tony (Dad), say 'hi' to everyone in heaven for us.
A Memorial Mass for Anthony will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 6 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church of Rubicon (W1170 Rome Rd, Rubicon, WI 53078) with Fr. Russ Arnett officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church for visitation from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
