Anthony "Whitey" Frosceno, age 87 of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 14th, 2023 at Griffin Hospital in Derby surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Geraldine Ziemba for 64 years. Anthony was born on August 26th, 1935, the son of the late Nicholas and Carmella (Esposito) Frosceno and was a longtime resident of Seymour.
In high school, Anthony was a 3 star athlete in football and baseball and he was drafted by the Orioles, a proud accomplishment in his life. He was a proud veteran serving in the US Army. Anthony was a tool inspector at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years before his retirement. Anthony was the president and coach of the Seymour Little League in the 1970's and was a key factor in the formation of the girl's softball program. Anthony was an avid golfer and was meticulous with his lawn care, loving to work in the yard. Anthony was a beloved member of his community and had a wonderful group of friends that he held very dearly.
Anthony is the cherished father of Keith Frosceno (Elizabeth), Gregg Frosceno (Lisa), Christine Kennedy (Brian) and Jeffrey Frosceno (Jane). He is also the beloved grandfather of Alexandra and Leah Frosceno, Anthony, Karina, and Carmella Frosceno, Angelina Clancy, Amanda, Brandon, and Aedan Kennedy, and Andrew and Francis Frosceno. He is also survived by his 8 dear great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anthony was predeceased by his brothers Louis, Salvatore, Nicholas, Benedict, Daniel, and Frank Frosceno.
Friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors in Good Shepherd Church, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour on Friday, May 19th at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Connecticut, 200 Executive Blvd. S. #4b, Southington, CT 06489.
Online condolences may be left for Anthony's family at www.adzimafh.com. The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home has been entrusted with Anthony's services.
