Anthony Germani Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. - Allentown on Jul. 3, 2025.
Anthony "Andy" L. Germani, 101, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on June 30. He was born in Allentown to Italian immigrants, Peter and Daria Germani (nee Lotti), on August 31, 1923. He graduated from Allentown High School in 1941. He was a gifted artist and briefly attended art school in Philadelphia before getting married. He proudly served in the Army in the Pacific Theatre during WWII in communications (remembering Morse Code for the rest of his life). He worked as a cutter at Phoenix Clothes, which later became Greif Company. He loved sports, including baseball, bowling, and golf (which he was still playing into his 90s). He was a loyal parishioner at Christ Lutheran Church. He was always a "kid at heart" and forever loved Mickey Mouse and Peanuts, especially Snoopy. He never got tired of watching The Andy Griffith Show and his favorite old Western shows, Bonanza and Gunsmoke. He did crossword puzzles every day until he passed. More than anything, he loved his family and cherished his many years with them. He was married to Doris "Susie" Germani (nee Kalb) on May 31, 1947 and they celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in 2022.
Surviving Andy include his and Susie's 3 children, Debbie (Paul) Brobst, Andrea Germani, and Michael (Lori) Germani; grandchildren, Allison Schultz, Jamie Brobst, and Anthony (Jane) Germani; and great-grandchildren Nathaniel and Lucas Schultz and Noelle and Anthony Germani. Andy is predeceased by his wife and siblings, Peter Germani, Anna Kosman and Marie Kosman.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 at 10 am at Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd. Allentown, PA 18106, with a visitation from 9-10 am in the funeral home. . His interment will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown immediately following the funeral service.

Dad,
Words cannot begin to express how much sorrow I feel right now. You were the best father, husband, grandfather, and "Nonno", anyone could ever ask for. I will miss you more than you will ever know and will be thinking about you every day. I could never even begin to thank you for all the happiness you've given your family and all you have done for us. Everyone who knew you loved you. I just wish we could watch one more episode of "Andy Griffith" together. I know you are resting now with mom in Heaven. Rest in Peace, Dad. I love you.

My deepest condolences to Andy's family. Andy had so much love and happiness to share with his family. His love of sports, especially golf, provided many good stories to share. The love he shared with his family was admired by all who knew him. RIP,Andy

A great gentleman to talk with. Soft spoken. Every time he came to Parkway Bowling Lanes, we had our little chats.
