Mildred L. "Pete" Sell

Mildred L. "Pete" Sell, 91, of Allentown, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, February 2, 2026. Her husband, LeRoy V. Sell, passed away on July 14, 2014. Born in Port Carbon, PA (Schuylkill Co.), she was the daughter of the late George L.T. and Mildred H. (Schenewolf) Burch. She was an active, lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Allentown where she served on the Church Council and the Ladies Fellowship for many years. Pete was employed at AT&T, retiring as a manager after 36 years of service. She was a graduate of Allentown High School, Class of 1952 and was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Pete had a servant's heart and lovingly cared for others throughout her life, checking in on neighbors and friends in need. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Survivors: Daughter, Patricia Skwirut and her husband, John; Grandchildren, Katie Burt (Fran), William Skwirut (Cassie) and Rachel Matera (Gary); Great-Grandchildren, Paige, William and Grant Burt, and Theo and Jack Skwirut; Sisters, June Hanley, Lynette O'Callahan Schreiber and Elizabeth "Betsy" Medernach; and her devoted and beloved caregiver, Anne Wright. She was preceded in death by Brothers, George, Robert and Edwin Burch; and Sisters, Ruth Kunkle, Anna Kraynak, Frances Stephens and Barbara Keefer.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, St. Paul's U.C.C. 340 E. Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18109. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Interment in Jordan Lutheran Church in Orefield. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown, www.BKRFH.com
