Anthony "Ted" Malesky, 80, of Oakdale, Collier Township, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025 in Shadyside Hospital.
Ted was born on October 10, 1944 in Southview, a son of the late Frank and Helen Nakoneczny Malesky.
Anthony was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Mr. Malesky worked as a property manager for Specialty Group Industries, from which he retired from. Ted kept a very active life. He belonged to many local organizations like the McDonald Vol. Fire Department and Mt. Pleasant Vol. Fire Co. Fire Department in Hickory and the McDonald American Legion. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, shooting clay pigeons and spending time with his wife, Donna. Ted and Donna were two "snowbirds" for quite some time, spending their time traveling from PA to their home in North Florida. Ted loved spending those cooler months in the Florida sunshine.
Surviving is his loving wife and best friend, Donna McCombs Malesky, sister, Mary Jane Patnesky, nephew, Patrick (Nick) Patnesky, brother-in-law, Donald McCombs and sister-in-law, Bette Guzman.
Along with his parents Ted is preceded in death by his siblings, Fran Malesky and Marsha Malesky.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the McDonald Vol. Fire Department, 150 N. McDonald St., McDonald, PA 15057 or Mt. Pleasant Vol. Fire Co., 106 Main St., Hickory, PA 15340, in memory of Ted.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Blessing Service will be held following the visitation of Friday in the funeral home at 8 p.m. Inurnment will occur on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. All are asked to be at the cemetery by 10:20 a.m.
