Ronald Elliot "Ron" Allen Sr., 74, of Bulger, Robinson Township, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 7, 2025 in West Penn Hospital.
Ron was born on April 18, 1950 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Howard Harry and Cecelia Kanzowski Allen Jr.
Mr. Allen was a retired supervisor for Interform Printing. Ron loved being around his home. He enjoyed those warm months where he could be outdoors working around the house. Ron especially loved gardening, flowers and vegetables. Ron spent a lot of time on his tractor making sure that his grass was always perfectly cut. When the cooler months came around, Ron enjoyed sitting by the fire watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, if he wasn't outside on the tractor plowing snow.
Above all, Ron loved his family. His great granddaughters were very special to him. They kept him young and he loved watching them grow.
Surviving are his children, Leslie M. Allen and Ron Allen Jr., grandchildren, Dustin Allen, Nathan, Shayne, and Dylan Hamilton, and Riley Allen, great granddaughters, Alena and Aliyah Hamilton, and siblings, Kenneth Allen, Howard Allen III, Terry Allen, Pam Allen and John Allen.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 333 E Carson St # 441E, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Garad's Fort Cemetery.
