Kathleen Marie Brytus, 34, of McDonald, North Fayette Township, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 20, 2024.
Kathleen was born on August 17,1990 in Pittsburgh, PA to Alan and Jeanne (Wilson) Brytus.
Despite her disabilities, Kathleen was able to touch many lives with her sweet nature. From the age of 3, she attended the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children. One of her favorite jobs was delivering newspapers to the other classrooms. She also loved music sessions and relaxing in the warm water of their pool. After graduating in 2011, she was one of the first attendees of school's adult day program, LAVI (Learning Adventures for the Visually Impaired), where she continued to fill her days with friends and activities until the pandemic limited her participation. Recently, she was able to attend Merakey AVS where she continued to enjoy many wonderful adventures. Kathleen also loved going on family vacations, snuggling with her mom, and listening to her dad play the ukulele.
Surviving are her parents Alan and Jeanne, brothers David Brytus and Paul (Alina) Brytus, and niece Alisa, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tony and Jean Brytus, and Paul and Shirley Wilson. Grandma Shirley was especially close to Kathleen and provided endless love and support along her journey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 10 am at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish - St. Alphonsus Church, McDonald. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery.
