Anthony Mayette Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (43rd St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Oct. 1, 2025.
Anthony Paul Mayette, known affectionately as Tony to his friends and loved ones, passed away after a short illness on September 11, 2025, in Ellenton, FL.
Born on August 15, 1963, in Burlington, VT to William & Janet Mayette. Tony lived a full life characterized by laughter, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.
He grew up in South Burlington with his Clinton St/Milham Court Gang building tree forts, riding bikes and other shenanigans. Building lifelong friendships that he treasured. He is survived by his wife Victoria (Carrier) Mayette, Kim Goodrich and husband Daniel of Converse, TX. His Brother Peter Mayette with his wife Bunny of Colchester and sisters-in-law Kandy Stillwell, Tonnie Sullivan, and Tammie Carrier. He was predeceased by his parents William & Janet Mayette, his sister Jean (Mayette) Rashford, his mother-in-law Betty Carrier, grandmother-in-law Dorothy Larmay, brother-in-law Duane F. Carrier, Jr.
After graduating from high school in 1982, Tony began a remarkable career spanning over four decades at FabTech, Inc. He started out at the bottom and worked his way up and was a trusted and loyal employee. Tony joined Moose Lodge 1618 in 2017 and dedicated five years to serving as a Trustee, where his passion for community service and fellowship shined brightly. An enthusiast of all things Moose, Tony took great pleasure in his membership with the Moose Lodge. As he truly believed in their mission of Fellowship, Respect, Integrity and Giving back to the community. Because they so aligned with his core values.
His hobbies included perfecting his craft using his beloved smoker, where he created culinary delights that brought friends and family together. Those gatherings were often filled with Tony's humor, as he had a unique ability to find the funny side of life, spreading laughter wherever he went. Generosity was second nature to Tony; he gave freely and loved helping others. His warm heart and open arms made a lasting impact on the many lives he touched. Tony's legacy is one of love, kindness, and the countless happy memories he created with those around him.
Tony's life was a testament to the values he held dear-love, family, and service. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a cherished brother, a dedicated worker, and a true friend. His funny anecdotes and generous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell to Anthony Paul Mayette, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His journey on earth may have ended, but his story will be told for generations to come as an example of a life filled with joy, compassion, and an unwavering zest for living. Tony's presence will be profoundly missed, but his light will never fade.
A celebration of Life will be held at Moose Lodge 1618 on Williston Rd S. Burlington, VT from 1-9 pm on November 1st. Please come celebrate and toast Tony and share all the wonderful stories that made him the man that he was.
