Anthony Francis "Tony" Mertus

Obituary
Anthony "Tony" Francis Mertus, 62, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Deborah L. (Buck) Mertus. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of Louis Joseph Mertus and the late Marie Mary (Meseros) Mertus. Tony was a graduate of Saucon Valley High School, class of 1981. He went on to study electronics at Northampton Community College. Tony was a Quality Inspector for Lutron for 19 years and most recently he worked for Broadcom, Macungie. He attended Calvary Baptist Church, Bethlehem. Tony loved Disney, especially Goofy. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Debbie of Bethlehem and his father Louis of Hellertown, he will be remembered by his children Jennifer M. Mertus of Hellertown and Christopher R. Mertus and his wife Christy of Bethlehem; step children Rachel London and her husband Keith of Reston, VA and Rebecca Reagan of Bethlehem; siblings Louis J. Mertus and his wife Jodi of Bethlehem Twp., Jeffrey M. Mertus and his wife Faye of Macungie, Thomas E. Mertus and his wife Nancy of Allentown and Andrew A. Mertus and his wife Lori of Hellertown; loving grandchildren Jadalynn Mertus, Luke Mertus and Liam Mertus and his step grandchildren Benjamin London, Fern, London and Oliver Reagan.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
