Anthony Bernard Phillips was born on January 17, 1975, in Jupiter, Florida, to Willie Lewis and Marilyn Phillips Ware.

Anthony, affectionately known as "Big Ace or Ace," was a resident of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and a graduate of Fort Pierce Central High School Class of 1995. He attended Florida State University on a football scholarship and later returned to Port Saint Lucie. Ace loved sports and spending time with his family and friends.

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, surrounded by family, Ace closed his eyes peacefully. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Billy Ruth Clark and Sadie Lewis, and stepfather Albert Ware, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memories include his Wife: Matrecia Spivey Phillips; Sons: Jayden Stevens and Anthony Phillips, Jr.; Mother: Marilyn Phillips Ware; Sisters: Natasha Ware, Alexandria Ware, Crystal Lewis and Mariah Lewis; Brothers: Clarence Holland, Albert (Wendy) Ware, Zack Lewis, and Willie Lewis; Mother-in law: Annette Spivey; Sister-in-law: Johnna (Michael) Morris; Brother-in-law: Artura Spivey, Sr.; Goddaughters: Chaniya Benjamin and Shamaria Johnson; Aunts: Gwen (Greg) Lindsey, Sandra (Steve) Wright, Tamatha Wright, Gloria (Arelious) Wright, Marie Wright, Diletha Hall and Louise Browning; Uncles: Tony (Vanessa) Wright, Jerome Wilson, Curyis (Debra) Brown, Melvin (Lorraine) Wright, James Smoot and Kenny Ray; Nephews: Timothy Ware-Terry, Christian Ware-Terry, Treshun Ware-Terry, Dominic Ware, Jaylen Holland, Daniel Williams, Artura Spivey, Jr. and Jakobe Spivey; Neices: Brittany Holland and Jaliyah Holland; Special Aunt: Ella Flucker; Special cousins: Karun Phillips, Rodrekius "Head" Wright, and Dereese Garrett; Special friends: Alvin Swoope, Lem Jackson and Tony Hill; and a host of family members, loved ones and friends who will miss him dearly.
