Anthony Michael Proia

Anthony Michael Proia, 28, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 26, 2023 after a long, hard battle with the disease of addiction. The cherished son of Angela Mineo, a loving grandson to the late Jeannie Avolio, and the late Mary Proia. He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Neely Michelle Pessin, and sister, Jessica (Edward DiGregory), and his nieces and nephew, Anna, Kate, and Roman, whom he adored. Also, survived by his father, Octavius Proia and sister, Maria Proia, as well as a loving supportive extended family of aunts, uncles, close cousins, and friends.
Anthony was intelligent, inquisitive, and passionately poured himself into things that interested him. He was a talented potter and a natural mechanic. Affectionately known as Uncle, he was the best giver of big and loud toys. He was fun and playful, and loved his cat, Taco. He was talented in the kitchen and had an affinity for Italian food.
While we are deeply saddened, we are relieved that his struggle has ended and he is now at peace. We will love and miss him for the rest of our lives.
