Anthony S. Pugh, Sr., affectionately known as Tony or Turnpike Tone, was born on March 30, 1979, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He passed away on October 7, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at Temple University Hospital.

Anthony attended Overbrook High School and later worked as a Ramp Agent at Philadelphia International Airport. He was a dedicated member of the Masonic Order and the Barracuda Boys Fishing Club, LLC. In his leisure time, Anthony enjoyed fishing, traveling, and bicycling.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon Pugh - Roberts; brothers, Jalon Pugh and Steven Pugh; children, Christian Millborne, Jamira Pugh, Anthony S. Pugh, Jr., Michael Giddins, and Hezekiah Giddins; and grandchildren, Sakai Jackson and Amari Giddins. He is also remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Anthony was predeceased by his father, Robert Caldwell.

A service to celebrate Anthony's life will be held at Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church, located at 7236 - 40 Ogontz Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19138. The viewing will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 am, followed by a Masonic Service from 10:00 to 10:30 am, and the Funeral Service at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Northwood Cemetery, 1501 Haines Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19126, at 1 pm.
