Anthony "Tony" Smith

Anthony Smith, age 49, was born to Debra Harbor and late Leroy Smith on February 1, 1974, In Gary, Indiana. He later in life move to Grand Rapids, Michigan where he worked at multiple factories.
Later in life Anthony expected the Lord Jesus has his Savior. Anthony was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being in the presence of his children, family and friends.
Anthony departed his life peacefully on October 22, 2023 at home surrounded by the love of his family and friends, after a short battle of cancer.
He leaves to cherish in fond memories his mother, Deborah Harbor; his children, Kawana (Cortez) Harper, Cierra (Cono) Smith, Precious Smith, Saveion Smith; step-children, Alexxus Beckwith (Aaron) Valencia Waller, Elijah Beckwith, Jalen (Kayla) McClain, Marissa Cline, Anthony Lee Smith Jr; grandchildren, Cortez Tucker Jr., Jayden McClain, Kamyah McClain, Aviana Smith, Delshawn Shaw, Serenitti Shaw, Kyrie Crawford, Layla McCline, Aryan McCline, Paislen McCline, Aaron Evans Jr.; Sister and Brothers, Mary K Naylor, Leverne Smith, Eugene Smith, Leroy Smith Jr., Felicia Smith, Ronnie Smith, Eddie (Michelle) Smith, Phillip Smith, Alphonso Smith, Priscilla (David) Smith, Patricia Carter, Penny ( Daniel) Henderson, and Lamont(Tina) Smith; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. The mother of his children Gwendolyn Harper, Jennifer Cline, Maria Garcia. A very special friend Terry Beckwith.
Anthony was proceeded in death by his father Leroy Smith; sister, Barbara Ann Smith, Phyllis Smith; and brother, DeWayne Smith.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Spectrum Health Hospice and a dear angel Terry Beckwith.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Avenue SE. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm with Rev. Lawrence McFall officiating. Private family burial will take place.
