Anthony J. Spitaleri IV

Anthony "Tony" Spitaleri, IV, 43, of Metuchen, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Born and raised in Edison, Tony graduated from JP Stevens High School in 2000. He went on to make his home in Metuchen, where he lived for the past 15 years.

Tony began his career working in his family's furniture business before pursuing his passion and founding his own company, Carbon Fiber Element. Known for his unique ideas and creative work, he built a strong following and earned recognition within the custom car community worldwide. He will be remembered for his quick humor and laid-back personality. He brought laughter to those around him and found happiness in life's simple moments. He especially cherished the time he spent with his beloved dogs, who were a constant source of companionship and comfort.

He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Spitaleri, III, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his loving mother, Jill Spitaleri of Edison; his sisters, Jennifer Spitaleri of Edison, and Justina Raimondo and her husband, Tom, of Metuchen; his nieces, Antonia and Danika; and his nephew, Nico. He leaves behind his beloved pit bulls, Buca, Carbon, and Pebbles.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2–6 p.m. at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen. A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
