Anthony James Swezey

Anthony James Swezey, age 48 of Wilmington, DE, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 8, 2023.
He was born and raised in Wilmington and is the son of Carol (Costello) and William Swezey, Sr. Anthony graduated from Salesianum School in 1993 and earned multiple bachelor degrees in 1998 from the University of Delaware.
He worked at Data Management International (New Castle, DE) as a production manager from 2000 to 2015. Anthony was a drummer in many local bands. He especially enjoyed playing in musical performances.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kirsten Bieler; his four children, Aerionna Swezey of Middletown, DE, Gabe, Rayleigh and Raine Swezey, all of Wilmington; two brothers, Paul Swezey (Launi) of Franklin, OH and William Swezey, Jr. (Penny Carmack) of Hockessin, DE; sister-in-law, Cindy Swezey of West Grove, PA, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Anthony is preceded in death by his first wife, Alicia Weldon who died in 2019.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19 from 10-11 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE where a funeral service will follow at 11. Burial will be held privately.
