Anthony Francis Tamilio

Anthony (Tony) Francis Tamilio 80, of Montrose New York passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2024. Tony was born on June 13, 1944 to the late Angelo and Madeline (Dieterle) Tamilio in the Bronx New York. Tony was a sheet metal worker for 23 years with P & P in Hawthrone New York. Tony was an avid Yankees fan who enjoyed coaching his grandson Thomas's baseball games and building Legos with Devon. Spending time with his grandsons Thomas and Devon were among his favorite things to do. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Gretchen Tamilio in 2011. Tony is survived by his loving daughter Tara (Ricky) Mitchell of Poughkeepsie New York, his sister Madeline (Michael) Falcone of Massapequa New York, his brother Rick (Sharon) Tamilio of Deltona Florida, his two cherished grandchildren Thomas and Devon Mitchell and his nieces Brooke Falcone, Meghan Celio, Christel Lay, as well as his nephews Sean Driscoll, Thomas Tamilio and Scott Gibson. Tony was predeceased by his brother LCPL Thomas Tamilio in 1967. Visitation will be held on Monday July 8, 2024 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the O'Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne New York to follow.
