Anthony Paul "Doc" Taylor, 65, of Anderson, passed away surrounded by his family on December 24, 2022, at Community Hospital Anderson after a hard-fought war against cancer. He was born on June 5, 1957, in Anderson, Indiana.
Doc graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1975, then married his high school sweetheart, Donna Ashby, on November 27, 1976.
He was an auto body detailer, had been a manager at Ed Martin and Weidner Chevrolet; security at Hoosier Park, and had worked at Brevini and Hy-Pro. He was a proud member of the Emergency Management Association and a Freemason at Fellowship Masonic Lodge.
He enjoyed gardening, camping, drag-racing, metal detecting, and he loved to tinker in his garage. He loved coaching and attending his kids' and grandchildren's sporting events and vacationing in Key West with his wife.
Doc is survived by his best friend and wife, Donna (Ashby) Taylor along with their dog, Maggie; daughters, Alexis Taylor (Colin) Manring, Ashley Taylor (Brandon Mullins), Adriene Taylor (Nathan) Butts; mother, Barbara Taylor; younger brother, Eric (Ruth) Taylor; brother-in-law, Michael Ashby; grandchildren, Britlyn Butts, Bennett Manring, Ellison Manring, Haven Mullins, and Taylor Butts. A host of extended family and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Taylor; in-laws, Shirley and Lee Ashby, Jr. and his many loving fur babies, especially Ozzy Mancub.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St., Anderson, IN.
A Masonic Service will be led by special friend, Nick Gray, followed by the funeral service on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Gary McCaslin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protection League. www.loosecares.com.

Our hearts and prayers are with the family of the passing Doc He was the life of many things in this world and made everyone laugh that met him
