Anthony Turner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dillinger Funeral Home - Newport on Mar. 30, 2026.
Anthony "Tony" Glenn Turner, 57, of Newport, departed this life on March 28, 2026. Born on January 14, 1969, in Newport, Arkansas, Tony was the son of Jerry Ray Turner Sr. and Glenna Mae Guffey Turner.

Tony spent his life working as a dedicated farm mechanic, a trade that reflected both his strong work ethic and his natural ability to fix just about anything. He took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Whether in the field or at home, Tony was known for his reliability, quiet strength, and steady presence.

Outside of work, Tony found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, often finding peace and contentment by the water, and he enjoyed traveling whenever he had the opportunity. These moments brought him happiness and created lasting memories with those he loved.

Tony will be remembered most for the love he had for his family and friends. He was a beloved son, a devoted father, a caring brother, a proud grandfather, and a cherished uncle. His presence in the lives of those who knew him was a gift, and his kindness and loyalty will not be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Ray Turner Sr.; his brothers, Jerry Ray Turner Jr., Todd Guffey Turner, and Barry Randall Turner; and his nephews, Carl Turner and Barry Turner.

He is survived by his mother, Glenna Turner of Elgin; his significant other, Leigh Ann Sutterfield of Newport; his son, Jacob Turner of Newport; his daughter, Jessica Keller (Owen) of Tuckerman; his grandchildren, Hayze Keller and Laynee Keller; his nieces, Andi Adams (Brian) and Casey Jeffery (Jeremy); his nephews, Adam Turner and Chase Turner; his great nieces, Quinn and Piper Adams; his great nephew, Julian Jeffery; his special friend Patrick Moody and his beloved dogs, Daisy and Junie.
