Anthony 'Tony' Frank Viola, 95, of Medford, New Jersey, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024, in Marlton, New Jersey. Born on July 26, 1928, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Anthony's life was marked by his loving nature, spirited character, and passionate dedication to his family and country.
Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Maria Viola; his sister, Rita Scarpa; and his brother, Pat Viola. His memory will be forever treasured by his daughter, Donna Braunschweig (Scott); his son, Mark Viola; his grandchildren, Kimberly Reisz (Eric) and Eric Braunschweig; his great-grandson, Nolan Reisz; his sister, Mary Grasso; his loving partner and companion, Ginny Coult; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss his guidance and warmth.
A proud veteran of the US Army, Anthony served his country from 1948 to 1951 with the same commitment and vigor that he applied to every aspect of his life. His service was an integral part of his identity, and he continued to support his fellow veterans through active involvement in the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Anthony's love for his Italian heritage was a cornerstone of his life. Raised in Philadelphia and later residing in Broomall, Pennsylvania, he was the life of the party at family gatherings, always ensuring that everyone felt included and loved. His presence was a source of joy and comfort, and his family was the center of his universe.
Volunteering was another passion of Tony's, and he dedicated 19 years to the Voorhees Pediatric Facility, bringing smiles to the faces of the children he served. He also gave his time to the local Soup Kitchen, helping those in need with a warm meal and a kind word.
An avid outdoorsman, Tony enjoyed hunting and the tranquility of nature. His hands were rarely still, as he found solace in building model airplanes and was an ardent fan of everything Sherlock Holmes. His culinary skills were renowned among family and friends, especially his Crabs and Spaghetti recipe, which was proudly published in Habitat for Humanity's cookbook.
Anthony's love extended beyond his family and hobbies. He was a man of strength and determination, feisty and strong-willed when it came to standing up for what he believed in. His protective nature was a comfort to all who knew him, and his legacy of love and passion will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 South and Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 am, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.

I had the absolute pleasure of working for Tony at Coult Buick from 1978-1988, Tony was the Best Boss I ever had, Kind, funny, and a little stern at times but very understanding, He helped me in more ways than one, But he was always in a good mood and he always had his Techs backs and he knew we had his back if trouble ever arose. I'm gonna miss you Tony You were the Greatest Boss anyone could ever hope to have, You gave me my big break having never worked at a Dealer. Rest in Peace my Friend, May Flights of Angels take you to your Final Rest. i hope Heaven is everything you were told it would be! I love you Pal!
