Mabel Mitchell, of Philadelphia, a devout Christian, was called to her heavenly home on August 19, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on January 9, 1936, in Haddonfield, New Jersey, Mabel's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the love she shared with those around her. She passed away peacefully at the Majestic Oaks Nursing Center in Warminster, Pennsylvania, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion.

Mabel was predeceased by her loving parents, Henry and Avis Mitchell, and was the last surviving sibling of eight. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive by her many loving nieces and nephews, who were a source of great joy and pride for her throughout her life.

For many years, Mabel served diligently at the Internal Revenue Service. Upon retirement, she continued to embody the spirit of service by remaining very active in her church community.

A long-standing and devoted member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ on 22nd Street in Philadelphia, Mabel's involvement went beyond mere attendance. She participated wholeheartedly in church activities, often leading and organizing events that brought the congregation together in fellowship and worship.

Mabel's sense of style was impeccable, and she was known for her grace and elegance. Her fashion consciousness was admired by friends and family alike, and she carried herself with a poise that was both inspiring and endearing.

Travel was one of Mabel's greatest passions. She loved exploring new places, both within the United States and across the globe.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Berlin Cemetery, 40 Clementon Rd, Berlin, NJ 08009.
