Joan A. Behnke

Joan A. Behnke, (née Kobelnick), age 87 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on August 23, 2025. Formerly of Philadelphia and a longtime resident of Berlin, NJ, Joan was an active member of the Berlin community. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Behnke of 58 years. She was a devoted mother of Joan Horner (Tom), John (Bobbie), Bill (Cindy), and Bob (Karen). Dear daughter of the late Mildred Chan and John Kobelnick. Dear sister of the late Anna Mae Cimino. Proud grandmother of Michelle, Vickie, Caroline, Laura (Brian), Dana (George), Lisa, Rob (Julia) and Celina (Kevin). Great grandmother of Noah, Oliver, Ashton, Sutton, Kelsey, Mariah and Gigi. She is also survived by her nephews Gary (Laura) and Glenn, and niece Karen (Steve). Joan is also survived by her many beloved friends who stopped by often and shared many laughs with her.

Joan was a former member and proud supporter of the Berlin Lions Club. She was a fan of the Phillies and Flyers teams. Over the years she was pet mom to many cats and dogs and even a few squirrels. Little Bob dearly misses her. Her life revolved around her family. She was known for her delicious baking, gardening, and her beautiful crafts. Joan retired from a long career in banking.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday evening August 28, 2025 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE, BERLIN, NJ 08009 and again on Friday morning, August 29, 2025 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the Church of St. Joan or Arc, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton, NJ 08053. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Berlin Lions Club in memory of Joan Behnke at P.O. Box 603, Berlin, NJ 08009 would be appreciated.
