Anthony Gerard Zeigler, age 50, of Lebanon, and formerly of King George, VA, gained his wings and entered heaven on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Anthony was born on Tuesday, July 8, 1975, in Sumter, SC. Anthony is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Alfred and Natalie Zeigler; and his maternal grandparents: Paul and Gladys Simmons.

Anthony’s survivors include his parents: Robert W. Zeigler and Marie L. (Simmons) Zeigler of Boiling Springs; his two brothers: Jeremy Zeigler of Boiling Springs, Travis Zeigler and wife Donna, of Mechanicsburg; his companion Taurean “T” Hansley of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved feline companions: Pepper, Chili, and Brie.

Anthony graduated from Cumberland Valley High School and Cumberland-Perry Area Vocational Technical School as part of the class of 1993. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, honorably serving his country as a culinary specialist aboard the USS Anzio and USS Bataan.  Anthony was a life member of the Mechanicsburg VFW Post 6704 and the Mechanicsburg Club. He was currently employed at MWR Army Fort Indiantown Gap Community Club as an assistant manager and had worked at Giant Food Stores, in the Mechanicsburg and Dillsburg locations.  

Anthony had a passion for cooking, often hosting dinner parties for friends and family showcasing his culinary skills, particularly in preparing omelets and collard greens. Beyond cooking, he enjoyed crafting and always brought handmade gifts to parties. Anthony's kind heart led him to love everyone, and he especially treasured the time with his niece Kathleen, who shared a special bond with him, and the happy moments he experienced with his adopted nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

All are welcome to join Anthony’s family at his celebration of life open house and gathering of family and friends on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 2:30 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation); with Celebrant George Spangler officiating. Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. Cremation was private. Interment with Military Honors will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, in Annville.
