Antonina F. Pelligrino, age 77, was called by God to her Heavenly home on March 25, 2025. She was born on June 10, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan.
She was the devoted daughter of the late Jim and the late Grace Pelligrino; loving sister to the late Phyllis Pelligrino, Sam (Sharon) Pelligrino, and Mary Campbell; cherished aunt to Christy (Nik) Endrud, Bradley (Nadia) Campbell, Stephanie (Andrew) Erskine, Angela (Lucas) Faust, Samantha (Peter) McGuire, and Vince Pelligrino; fond great-aunt to many grandnieces and grandnephews that loved her dearly. Antonina will truly be missed by her loving family and dear friends.
Antonina treasured her pets. Her cat and her dog gave her great joy each day.
Antonina had a very caring heart and it showed through with everyone she was with. She loved good food and good times which always included lots of wonderful laughter and joy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Antonina's name to Vitas Health Care Hospice (https://vitascommunityconnection.org/) and The Humane Society, or PAWS Chicago, (https://www.pawschicago.org/how-to-help/donate) would be kindly appreciated.

I had the pleasure of working with Nina. We would laugh throughout our day. Nina had a great sense of humor and she would tease me about my towhead babies. Nina brought warmth to everyone who knew her. Her laughter was robust and so full of joy that it would fill a room. Years following, we would meet in Oak Park for lunch and catch up on family, work, and travel. Nina cherished her life in Lincoln Square. I am sorry we lost track of each other over the years. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
