He was born in Coloocan, Philippines on December 19, 1958 to his father Teodoro Mendoza and mother Remedios (n. Guevarra) and moved to the Metuchen/Edison area in 1991. Antonio worked in the Environmental Services Unit at Parker Home in Somerset for 7 years. Antonio was a parishioner of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. He enjoyed sports, especially basketball and tennis and loved karaoke singing with family and friends.
Antonio was predeceased by his sister, Virginia Magpayo; and his brother, Victor Mendoza.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Grace; his children, Andre and his girlfriend Sara & Angelica and her fiancé Ralph; his siblings, Teresita Punzalan, Milagros Valiente, Carlito Mendoza, Rebecca Turquio, Bartolo Mendoza, Cristina De Hitta, and Genaro Mendoza; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 4pm-8pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt. 27) Metuchen.
The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday March 6, 2025 at 10:15am at St. Francis Cathedral followed by cremation.
