Antonio "Tony" Segura, entered into eternal rest at the age of 81 on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Mr. Segura was a veteran of the Vietnam War who served his country with Honor & Pride.
He was an avid golfer who won the City of Laredo's Golf Tournament back in 1975. He retired after 30 years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) "Tickforce".
Mr. Segura is preceded in death by his parents Santos Segura, Sr., and Margarita "Cuca" Segura and siblings, Gracie Segura, Jamie Segura, Santos Segura, Jr., and Gloria Castillo.
He is survived by his wife Maria Delia Segura of 50 years of marriage; children, Andrew Segura, Antonio Segura, Jr., Yvette (Johnny) Gonzalez, Cynthia (Javier) Castaneda and Claudia Marie (Rudy) Arizola; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Javier (Sandra) Segura, Jesus Segura, Jose (Belia) Segura, Gerardo Segura and Tomas (Diana) Segura; sisters, Maria Cristina Segura, Connie (Carlos) Garcia, Margarita (Silvestre Jr.) Hernandez, and Edna (Mark) Mcmutry.
The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, June 28, 2024 in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Laredo Veterans Honor Guard and United States Army Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Segura, Manuel Villarreal, Javier Segura, Ruben Segura, Mario De La Rosa (Budder) and Hector Castillo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Antonio Segura, Jr., Antonio Segura, III., and Daniel Ramos.
