Norma Barberena de Paez

September 24, 1942 ~ July 29, 2025

The Lord has called our beloved, Norma Barberena de Paez, 82, to her heavenly home, peacefully surrounded by her loving family by her side. Norma was born on September 24, 1942 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of the late Jose Barberena and Elvira Salinas de Barberena.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Paez Davila; parents, Jose and Elvira Barberena; siblings: Rogelio Barberena and Rodolfo Barberena.

Surviving her are her children: Norma A. Walker (John), Diana L. Santos (Alejandro), Jorge A. Paez (Rosario), Claudia G. Paez; grandchildren: Emily A. Walker, Christina Walker, Sophia Walker, Carolina Santos, Alejandra Santos, Annette Paez, and Alondra Paez; siblings: Jose Barberena, Alfonso Barberena, Homero Barberena, Elvira Barberena, Dora A. Reyna, Leticia Barberena, as well as a great number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 6 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.

Funeral Service will be held in the funeral chapel at 10 am on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Services will depart the chapel at 11 am to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest in the family plot alongside her beloved husband.
