Obituary of April Nicole McCullough-Craig
April Nicole McCullough-Craig, aged 39, gracefully departed from this world on November 29th, 2023, in Mineral Wells, Texas, after a courageous battle against cancer.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at Beulah Baptist Church, 350 Beulah Rd, Millsap, TX 76066, on December 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. A reception with refreshments will follow the service, providing an opportunity for friends and family to share cherished memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to celebrate April's life contribute donations to Grace House in Mineral Wells or Weatherford, Texas. We ask that the community come together to continue her love of helping the children and young adults in need.
Born to Sandra and Walter McCullough, Jr., on May 25th, 1984. She graduated from Millsap High School in 2001, alongside her close friend Brandy.
On September 25th, 2015, April married Kyle Craig in Weatherford, Texas. Together, they lovingly raised April's three daughters and later chose to expand their family through the adoption of a son.
April achieved her dream of earning a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Accounting from The University of Phoenix. In 2022, she secured her dream job as an Accountant at Parker in Mineral Wells, Texas.
April's passions included coloring, music, and exploring new destinations with her family each year. She had a deep love for babies and animals, often bringing both home to share in the joy.
Her home was a sanctuary for those in need of love, shelter, or sustenance. She played a pivotal role in raising numerous children, guiding them to graduation and providing a steppingstone toward a brighter future.
During April's final days and weeks, she exuded happiness, spirit, and a sense of blessing. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate doctors and nurses at Baylor in Dallas, as well as the dedicated nurses, aides, and social workers at Alpha Omega Hospice and Reliant at Home Hospice. Their kindness provided comfort to April in her time of need.
The family is deeply appreciative of the support received from the community, including the generous donations of meals and the outpouring of love during this challenging and emotional period. Your kindness has made a lasting impact, and for that, we are sincerely thankful.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Tessalynn Randall and husband Chaz, Autumn Hubble, Emily McCullough; son, Kenneth Craig; her husband, Kyle Craig; grandchildren, Emory and Cooper Randall; her mother, Sandra Black McCullough; sisters, Awbrey McCullough, and Sherryl Walters and husband Matt; brothers, Travis McCullough and wife Molly, and Walter McCullough, III; mother-in-law, Kelly Craig; father-in-law, Dennis Hughes and wife Becky; sister-in-law's, Brittany Hughes, and Kamryn Hughes; brothers-in-law's, Dereck Hughes, Dennis Hughes and wife Julianna, and Ethan Hughes; nieces: Kristen, Noelle, and Jayde; nephews, Jimmy, Trace, Grant, Austin, Matt, Sabastion, Tenton, Merrick, Alexander, Raiden, Joseph, and Grayson; along with Bonus children, Kenzie, Kennedy, and Bella; and many more.
