Aralynn Elizabeth Ann Kawasaki, 15, of Sardis, OH, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at her home. She was born June 16, 2010, in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of Kasey VanGilder Nething. She was a 10th grade student at River High School and she attended the Washington Presbyterian Church Washington, PA; she was a wrestler, artist, poet and liked doing theater plays. She was preceded in death by Papaw, Scott VanGilder. Survivors include her mother, Kasey (Dad "Tone" Gower) Nething of Sardis, OH; step mother, Elizabeth Kawasaki of Shadyside, OH; siblings, Alyssa (Derek West) Nething of Powhatan Point, OH; Savanna Kawasaki of Cleveland, OH, J.J. Kawasaki of Wheeling, WV, Bri Gower of Pittsburgh, PA, Anastasia Kawasaki, Tobias Kawasaki and Maranatha Kawasaki, all of Shadyside, OH, and Andrew (Christina) Gower of Pittsburgh, PA; girlfriend, Keegan Eldridge; her father, James Kawasaki of Moundsville, WV; two nieces, Kinsley West and Stella Gower, nephew, DJ Gower; maternal grandmother, (Nana) Elizabeth VanGilder; grandparents, Oma and Opa Kathy & Rick Morgan and Pap, Bill Gower; great grandmothers, Jo Ann VanGilder and Stella Gower and several cousins, uncles, and aunts, including Aunt Sissy, Kendra Tenley, with whom she loved spending time. Everyone is invited to wear Hello Kitty or Billie Eilish clothing in her honor. Family will receive friends on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 2 pm until 8 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV, where services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm with Pastor Phillip Amaismeier officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
